Juvenile great northern diver/common loon (Gavia immer) 1dIIN 500 1.4TC tripod Taken in Scarborough harbour. Although I have better action shots I particularly like the light in this image of this loon that had been present for a few weeks in the harbour. There was an abundance of this species in close to the North Yorkshire coast in the winter of 2006/7.
